Is SEO really necessary for Businesses in Michigan?

Is SEO really necessary? The quick and simple answer is YES, without a doubt!
Let’s start with what is “it” and why is it necessary? As defined by Wikipedia:
“Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural,” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”), search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users.”
You could have the greatest looking website on this planet, have the ‘right’ keywords, provide great content, offer an incredible service or ‘juicy’ free gift, etc., but if you do not have any visitors (a.k.a. traffic) to your site, you don’t have a business.
Simply put, there are a multitude of things that could go wrong, including not getting ANY traffic to your site, or even worse yet, getting yourself banned totally from Google if you are not working with someone who knows all the “in’s and out’s” about the entire SEO process. IPSUMTM is a great example of just what a notable SEO company could do for you.
How do I know this? From experience…this happened to me. As a women’s business coach, speaker and best selling author, there isn’t anything more frustrating to learn from trial and error to the old adage “you don’t know, what you don’t know.” I thought I was asking all the right questions about driving traffic to my site, and I would receive all types of reasons why I wasn’t getting any traffic. For anyone in business, online or offline, if you want to be successful and attract new clients you must make it your business to know.
The 4 basic questions below are tips to help you decide if you require the help of a SEO expert. Even though they appear to be basic, don’t let that ‘fool’ you. It is HOW you respond in answering them that could make all the difference in bringing in the revenue you desire or ‘closing the doors’ of your business.
Tip #1 – Are you getting a steady stream of clients visiting your site?
Tip #2 – Are you ‘ranking’ on the first page of Google on a continuous
Tip #3 – Are you aware of how social media and SEO can play an important
role in getting clients to come to your site and to your business?
Tip #4 – Do you have someone monitoring & tracking where your
customers and clients are coming from?
If you answered ‘no’ to any of these and you want to grow your business, you may want to consider speaking with an expert SEO person. As the saying goes:
“What gets measured, improves.” – Unknown
As studies show, business advertising has changed from the ‘phone book’ days to searching online for businesses. So let’s help each other out by sharing this with others to help them understand how this could change their business. I am working with someone now IPSUMTM, and “now I know what I didn’t know!”
